Mebunnai

Mebunnai (meaning son, building, or understanding of the LORD) was one of David's thirty mighty warriors, a Hushathite from the clan of Hushah in Judah (2 Samuel 23:27). He is called Sibbecai the Hushathite in the parallel list of 1 Chronicles 11:29 and in the accounts of the Philistine wars, where he slew Saph (or Sippai), a descendant of the giants (2 Samuel 21:18; 1 Chronicles 20:4). He also served as the military commander for the eighth monthly division of David's army (1 Chronicles 27:11).
