Mehujael

Mehujael (meaning who proclaims God or smitten by God) was a descendant of Cain, the son of Irad and father of Methusael, who was the father of Lamech (Genesis 4:18). He appears in the genealogy of Cain's line in Genesis 4, which traces the development of civilization through Cain's descendants including city-builders, cattle-rearers, musicians, and metalworkers. Mehujael's name ironically contains the element El (God), though the Cainite line stands in contrast to the Sethite line that called on the name of the LORD (Genesis 4:26).
