Mehuman

Person Name

Name meaning: "making an uproar; a multitude"

Mehuman (meaning making an uproar, faithful, or a multitude) was one of the seven eunuchs who served before Ahasuerus (Xerxes) of Persia. He was commanded to bring Queen Vashti before the king with her royal crown at the great banquet in Susa (Esther 1:10). Her refusal to appear led to the events that eventually brought Esther to the Persian court. Mehuman is named first among the seven chamberlains, suggesting he held the highest rank among them.
