Mekonah

Mekonah (meaning a base or foundation of a pillar) was a town in the Negeb region of Judah, repopulated after the return from Babylonian exile, listed alongside Ziklag and other southern Judean towns in Nehemiah 11:28. Its precise location has not been identified with certainty. It appears only in this single post-exilic text, suggesting it was a minor settlement resettled as part of the restoration of Judah's southern frontier.
