Michri
Person Name
Name meaning: "selling"
Michri (meaning selling or of a price) was a Benjaminite, the ancestor of Elah son of Uzzi, who is listed among those who settled in Jerusalem after the exile (1 Chronicles 9:8). He appears only in this genealogical notice and is otherwise unknown. The Benjaminite settlers in post-exilic Jerusalem were drawn from several clans, and Michri's family was evidently among those with the right of settlement in the city by virtue of tribal lineage.
