Mikloth

Person Name

Name meaning: "little wants; little voices; looking downward"

Mikloth (meaning staves or little voices) was the name of two figures in David's era. One was a Benjaminite who settled in Jerusalem (1 Chronicles 8:32; 9:37–38), a descendant of Jeiel the father of Gibeon. The other Mikloth was the deputy commander of the second monthly division of David's army, serving under Dodai the Ahohite (1 Chronicles 27:4). The administrative division system described in 1 Chronicles 27 rotated military service through the year, with each division responsible for one month.
