Milaiai

Milaiai was a priest and musician who participated in the dedication of the rebuilt walls of Jerusalem under Nehemiah, playing a musical instrument in one of the two great processions that Nehemiah organized around the wall (Nehemiah 12:36). He is otherwise unknown. His inclusion in the list underscores the musical and celebratory character of the wall dedication, which involved Levitical singers, priests with trumpets, and joyful processional liturgy as the community reconsecrated the city's defenses to the LORD.
