Minni

Minni was a kingdom or territory called upon in Jeremiah's oracle against Babylon (Jeremiah 51:27) to join the alliance that would overthrow Babylon: Set up a banner in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz. Minni is generally identified with Mannai (Mannaea), an ancient kingdom south of Lake Urmia in northwestern Iran — a significant power in the ninth through seventh centuries BC that was a neighbor and sometimes rival of Urartu (Ararat) and was eventually absorbed into the Median empire. Jeremiah's oracle anticipates the alliance of northern peoples that would indeed overthrow Babylon.
