Moseroth

Moseroth (the plural form of Mosera, meaning bonds or chastisements) was a wilderness station in the Israelites' itinerary during the Exodus, appearing between Hashmonah and Bene-jaakan in the list of Numbers 33 (vv. 30–31). It is generally understood to be the same location as Mosera mentioned in Deuteronomy 10:6, where Aaron's death is recorded. The plural form may indicate a cluster of encampments rather than a single site, or it may simply reflect a variant orthographic tradition. Like most of the forty-two wilderness stations in Numbers 33, the precise location of Moseroth cannot be determined with certainty from archaeological or geographical evidence, and it remains unidentified on modern maps of the Sinai and Negev regions.
