Naarah
Person Name
Name meaning: "young person"
Naarah (meaning young woman; girl) was one of the two wives of Ashhur the founder of Tekoa, listed in the genealogy of Judah (1 Chr. 4:5–6). She bore him four sons: Ahuzzam, Hepher, Temeni, and Haahashtari. Beyond this genealogical notice she is otherwise unknown. Her name also appears as a border town in Ephraim (Josh. 16:7), likely a different place derived from the same root.
