Nahath

Nahath (meaning rest; descent) is the name of three men. (1.) A son of Reuel and grandson of Esau, and a chief (alluf) of Edom (Gen. 36:13, 17; 1 Chr. 1:37). (2.) A Levite in the line of Kohath, ancestor of Samuel the prophet (1 Chr. 6:26). (3.) A Levite appointed by Hezekiah as one of the overseers of the temple contributions and firstfruits during his religious reform (2 Chr. 31:13).
