Nahbi

Person Name

Name meaning: "very secret"

Nahbi (meaning hidden; very secret) was the son of Vophsi, from the tribe of Naphtali, and one of the twelve spies sent by Moses to explore Canaan (Num. 13:14). He is otherwise unattested, and his name does not recur in the subsequent narrative. Like ten of the twelve spies, he is presumed to have been among those who brought back the discouraging report that led to Israel's forty years of wilderness wandering.
