Naphtali, Mount

Mount Naphtali designates the mountainous region within the tribal territory of Naphtali in the far north of Canaan (Josh. 20:7). Kedesh in the hill country of Naphtali was designated as one of the six cities of refuge (Josh. 20:7; 21:32). The terrain of Naphtali is rugged highland lying west of the upper Jordan valley and north of the Sea of Galilee, rising to the heights of Upper Galilee.
