Neballat
Place Name
Name meaning: "prophecy; budding"
Neballat was a town in Benjamin reoccupied by Benjaminite settlers after the return from the Babylonian exile (Neh. 11:34). It is mentioned in a list of post-exilic settlements alongside Hadid and Ono. The site is generally identified with modern Beit Nabala, north of Lydda in the coastal plain. Beyond this single reference it is historically unattested.
