Nethaneel

Nethaneel (meaning same as Nathanael, i.e., God has given) is the name of several individuals in the Old Testament. The most prominent was the son of Zuar, appointed as the leader of the tribe of Issachar in Moses's census and in the order of march through the wilderness (Numbers 1:8; 2:5). He offered the second tribal sacrifice at the dedication of the altar (Numbers 7:18–23). Other bearers of the name include a son of Jesse (David's brother, 1 Chronicles 2:14), a Levitical priest who blew a trumpet before the ark (1 Chronicles 15:24), and a post-exilic priest who had married a foreign wife (Ezra 10:22).
