Neziah

Neziah (meaning conqueror or strong) was the ancestor of a family of Nethinim — temple servants — who returned from the Babylonian exile with Zerubbabel (Ezra 2:54; Nehemiah 7:56). The name appears only in these two parallel lists of returning exiles. As a Nethinim family head, Neziah's descendants would have served in the menial but essential tasks of the restored temple in Jerusalem.
