Ohad

Ohad (meaning praising or confessing) was the third son of Simeon listed in the genealogy of Genesis 46:10 and Exodus 6:15. He appears only in these two genealogical notices and is not mentioned as the ancestor of any later Simeonite clan. His name is absent from the clan list of Numbers 26:12–14, suggesting that his line may have died out before the second generation of the wilderness period. Ohad is one of several Simeonite names that disappear from the later tribal records.
