Ohel

Ohel (meaning tent or tabernacle) was a son of Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah who led the first return from the Babylonian exile. He is listed among Zerubbabel's children in 1 Chronicles 3:20. As a grandson of Shealtiel and a member of the Davidic royal family, Ohel was part of the messianic line through which Israel's hopes for restoration were focused in the post-exilic period. He is otherwise unknown beyond this genealogical notice.
