Peruda

Peruda (meaning: same as Perida — separation; division) was the ancestor of a family of Solomon's servants who returned from Babylon with Zerubbabel after the exile, listed in Ezra 2:55. The parallel list in Nehemiah 7:57 calls the ancestor Perida, indicating these are variant spellings of the same name. The designation "servants of Solomon" likely refers to temple workers of non-Israelite origin assigned to auxiliary service in the sanctuary, a class established by Solomon alongside the Nethinim.
