Phalti

Phalti (also Phaltiel or Paltiel, meaning: deliverance; flight) was the son of Laish from Gallim to whom Saul gave Michal, David's wife, after David had fled from Saul. When David later reclaimed Michal as part of his political reconciliation with the house of Saul, Phalti followed her weeping as she was taken away, until Abner commanded him to turn back. This brief but poignant detail reveals a man who had formed a genuine emotional bond with Michal during their years together.
