Pisidia

Pisidia (meaning: pitch; pitchy) was a mountainous region in southern Asia Minor, north of Pamphylia and east of Lycia, known for its rugged terrain and fierce independent population. The city "Antioch in Pisidia" (or Pisidian Antioch, actually located in Phrygia on its border with Pisidia) was an important Roman colonia visited twice by Paul and Barnabas on the first missionary journey. Paul's synagogue sermon there, preserved in Acts 13:14–41, is the most complete example of his early preaching and traces Israel's history from the exodus through David to Christ.
