Raphu

Person

Raphu (meaning healed or feared) was a Benjaminite, the father of Palti son of Raphu, who was chosen as the representative of the tribe of Benjamin among the twelve spies sent by Moses to explore Canaan (Numbers 13:9). Palti (not to be confused with Paltiel the husband of Michal) is the only context in which Raphu is mentioned. He is otherwise unknown.
