Rehabiah
Person Name
Name meaning: "breadth, or extent, of the Lord"
Rehabiah (meaning breadth or extent of the LORD) was a Levite, the only son of Eliezer son of Moses, and ancestor of a large Levitical family. The text notes that Eliezer had no other sons, yet Rehabiah's descendants were very numerous (1 Chronicles 23:17; 26:25). His descendants served as temple officials: the eldest of Rehabiah's line, Isshiah, was an officer over the treasuries of the dedicated things in David's administrative organization (1 Chronicles 26:25). The note about their great number despite a single-son lineage emphasizes divine blessing on Moses's line.
