Rogelim

Rogelim (meaning a foot or footman, perhaps referring to fullers' treading cloth) was a city in Gilead east of the Jordan, the home of Barzillai the Gileadite, who provided food and supplies to David and his army when they fled to Mahanaim during Absalom's revolt (2 Samuel 17:27). After Absalom's defeat, Barzillai came from Rogelim to escort the king back over the Jordan, declining David's invitation to come to Jerusalem — saying he was eighty years old and would be a burden — but sending his son Chimham in his place (2 Samuel 19:31–38). Rogelim's precise location has not been identified with certainty.
