Romamti-ezer

Person Name

Name meaning: "exaltation of help"

Romamti-ezer (meaning exaltation of help) was one of the sons of Heman, David's seer, appointed as a Levitical musician for the temple service. His name appears in the list of Heman's fourteen sons (1 Chronicles 25:4), all of whose names together may form a fragmentary liturgical text. He was assigned by lot to lead the twenty-fourth division of the temple musicians (1 Chronicles 25:31), with his sons and brothers — twelve in all — making up the company who served during that appointed week of worship.
