Semei

Semei (a Greek transliteration of the Hebrew name Shimei) appears in Luke's genealogy of Jesus as an ancestor in the line from David through Nathan to Joseph (Luke 3:26). He is placed between Mattathias and Josech in this genealogy and is otherwise unattested in biblical or extra-biblical sources. The name Shimei was borne by numerous OT figures, including a Levite in Moses' time (Ex. 6:17), a Benjaminite who cursed David (2 Sam. 16:5–13), and a supporter of Solomon (1 Kgs. 1:8).
