Sered

Sered was the firstborn son of Zebulun, the sixth son of Jacob and Leah (Gen. 46:14). He is counted among the sixty-six persons of Jacob's house who entered Egypt and is the eponymous ancestor of the clan of the Seredites recorded in the Mosaic census of the tribe of Zebulun (Num. 26:26). Beyond his position in the genealogical lists, Sered plays no individual role in the biblical narrative.
