Shuah

Shuah was a son of Abraham by Keturah, the wife Abraham took after Sarah's death (Genesis 25:2; 1 Chronicles 1:32). His descendants, the Shuhites, settled in northern Arabia. The most notable connection is to Bildad the Shuhite, one of Job's three friends (Job 2:11), whose tribal identification suggests descent from Shuah's line. Abraham gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them eastward while Isaac remained as heir, situating the Shuhite territory in the Arabian desert regions northeast of Canaan. The Shuhites appear in inscriptions as a people of the middle Euphrates region.
