Susi

Susi was the father of Gaddi, the representative of the tribe of Manasseh among the twelve spies sent by Moses to scout the land of Canaan (Num. 13:11). Beyond this single genealogical reference, nothing is known of Susi. His son Gaddi is one of the ten who returned with a discouraging report about the land's inhabitants, contributing to the people's forty-year delay in entering Canaan.

The name Susi is linguistically connected to the Hebrew word for horse (sus), possibly suggesting his family's association with horse-rearing or cavalry, though this is speculative. Like many fathers named only in genealogical or tribal lists, Susi's primary significance is the son he contributed to Israel's national history.
