Tabbath
Place
Tabbath was a location in the Jordan valley on the route of the fleeing Midianite army after Gideon's surprise night attack (Judg. 7:22). The Midianites fled from Beth-shittah toward Zererath, "as far as the border of Abel-meholah, by Tabbath." Its exact location is uncertain, though Abel-meholah (Elijah's hometown) was in the Jordan valley south of Beth-shan, placing Tabbath in the same general vicinity. The site appears only in this battle account.
