Telaim

Telaim was the site where Saul mustered his army for the campaign against the Amalekites at Samuel's command (1 Sam. 15:4), assembling 200,000 footmen from Israel and 10,000 men of Judah. The battle that followed resulted in the capture of Agag and the partial sparing of the best livestock — Saul's disobedience that led Samuel to pronounce his rejection as king (1 Sam. 15:10–23). Telaim is commonly identified with Telem, a city in the southern hill country of Judah (Josh. 15:24), though the identification is not certain.
