Telem

Telem was (1) a city in the extreme south of Judah, in the Negev region, listed among the cities of the tribe of Judah (Josh. 15:24); and (2) a Levitical gatekeeper in the post-exilic community who was among those who had taken foreign wives and were required to send them away at Ezra's insistence (Ezra 10:24). The city Telem may be the same as Telaim, where Saul mustered his forces against the Amalekites (1 Sam. 15:4).
