Zaanaim

Place

Zaanaim (also Zaanannim) was a place near Kedesh in the territory of Naphtali, mentioned in Judges 4:11 as the location where Heber the Kenite had pitched his tent, separated from the rest of the Kenite clans. It was in the plain of Zaanannim near Kedesh that Jael wife of Heber killed the fleeing Canaanite general Sisera (Judges 4:17–21). The site appears in Joshua 19:33 as a boundary marker of Naphtali. The exact location is uncertain, though some scholars identify it with Khan et-Tujjar (Khan of the Merchants) southeast of Tabor.
