Zaavan
Person Name
Name meaning: "trembling"
Zaavan (also spelled Zavan) was a son of Ezer, one of the Horite clan chiefs of Seir in Edom (Genesis 36:27; 1 Chronicles 1:42). The Horites were the original inhabitants of the region of Seir before the Edomites (descendants of Esau) settled there (Deuteronomy 2:12, 22). Zaavan appears only in these genealogical lists and is otherwise unknown in the biblical narrative. The name may mean trembling or troubled.
