Zabbai

Zabbai is the name of two biblical individuals. (1.) One of those who had taken foreign wives after the exile, listed in the penitential assembly convened by Ezra (Ezra 10:28). (2.) The father of Baruch, who worked on the wall of Jerusalem beside the Broad Wall under Nehemiah (Nehemiah 3:20). The name may mean pure or flowing.
