Zabulon

Zabulon is the Greek form of Zebulun, used in the New Testament. Matthew 4:13–15 quotes Isaiah 9:1–2 concerning the land of Zabulon and the land of Nephthalim in connection with Jesus's settlement in Capernaum and the beginning of his Galilean ministry: the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light. This fulfillment text links the region of the northern tribes, historically vulnerable to Assyrian invasion and deportation, with the light of the Messiah's ministry among those same Galilean territories.
