Zacher

Zacher was a son of Jehiel (also called Gibeon), the ancestor of Saul, listed in the Benjamite genealogy of 1 Chronicles 8:31. He is called Zechariah in the parallel list of 1 Chronicles 9:37. Gibeon was the patriarch of the Gibeonite branch of Benjamin from which Saul's family descended (1 Chronicles 9:35–39). Zacher appears only in these genealogical lists and plays no named role in the biblical narrative beyond establishing the lineage. The name is a shortened form of Zechariah, meaning remembered or memorial.
