Zebah

Zebah (meaning sacrifice or victim) was one of the two kings of Midian whom Gideon pursued and captured after the rout at the spring of Harod (Judges 8:4–21). He and Zalmunna had commanded the Midianite confederation that had oppressed Israel for seven years. After Gideon's 300 men routed the main army by their night attack, he pursued the fleeing kings across the Jordan. When captured, Zebah and Zalmunna acknowledged that the men they had killed at Tabor looked like Gideon — his brothers. Gideon executed them himself as a blood-avenger rather than allowing his son Jether to do it. Psalm 83:11 calls on God to make Israel's future enemies like Zebah and Zalmunna.
