Zebulonite
Name
Zebulonite is the gentile term for a member of the tribe of Zebulun. It appears in Judges 12:11–12 in connection with Elon the Zebulonite, one of the minor judges who governed Israel for ten years and was buried at Aijalon in the land of Zebulun. The designation simply identifies him as belonging to Zebulun. Members of Zebulun are called Zebulunites in Numbers 26:27, where the clans of Zebulun are enumerated after the second wilderness census. The tribe was known for its maritime and commercial character, consistent with Jacob's blessing that Zebulun would dwell at the shore of the sea and become a haven for ships (Genesis 49:13).
