Zedad

Zedad was a place on the northern boundary of the promised land as described in both Numbers 34:8 and Ezekiel 47:15. The boundary runs from the entrance of Hamath (the Beqa Valley between Lebanon and Anti-Lebanon) past Zedad toward Ziphron. The site is generally identified with Sadad, a village about 70 miles northeast of Damascus in modern Syria, on the road between Homs and Damascus. The biblical geography of the northern border is difficult to reconstruct precisely, but Zedad served as one of the landmark points defining the idealized extent of Israel's promised territory.
