Zenas

Zenas the lawyer was a Christian mentioned by Paul in Titus 3:13, where Paul instructs Titus: Do your best to speed Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way; see that they lack nothing. Zenas and Apollos were apparently traveling through Crete carrying this letter from Paul to Titus, and Paul asks Titus to provide for their needs before they continue their journey. The designation lawyer (nomikos) may indicate either expertise in Jewish Torah law (as a trained scribe) or in Roman civil law, though the former is more likely in a Christian context. He is otherwise unknown, though early church tradition sometimes identifies him with one of the seventy disciples.
