Zeredathah
Place
Zeredathah is named in 2 Chronicles 4:17 as the location in the Jordan valley between Succoth and Zeredathah where Hiram the craftsman cast the bronze vessels for Solomon's temple — the pillars, the sea, and the various basins and implements. The parallel passage in 1 Kings 7:46 reads Zarethan rather than Zeredathah, and the two are generally considered the same site or closely related locations in the Jordan valley. The clay ground of this region was ideal for casting large bronze objects. The location corresponds roughly to the junction of the Jordan and Jabbok rivers.
