Zererath

Place

Zererath appears in Judges 7:22 in the account of Gideon's rout of the Midianites: when the three hundred men blew their trumpets and the LORD set every man's sword against his comrade throughout the Midianite camp, the army fled to Beth-shittah toward Zererath, as far as the border of Abel-meholah, by Tabbath. The site is otherwise unknown and its location uncertain. It may be identical with Zarethan or Zaretan in the Jordan valley, or it may be a variant form of the same toponym. The reference indicates a Midianite flight eastward toward the Jordan valley.
