Zetham

Zetham was a Levite of the clan of Gershon (1 Chronicles 23:8; 26:22), assigned to assist with the treasuries of the house of God in David's organization of the temple personnel. He appears in both the list of Gershonite Levites (23:8, as son of Laadan) and in the list of treasury overseers (26:22, as sons of Jehiel). The Gershonites were responsible for carrying the curtains and coverings of the Tabernacle in the wilderness period, and their descendants continued to have roles in the temple service. The name Zetham may relate to the word for olive.
