Zilthai

Zilthai (meaning: my shadow; my talk — understood as "protection of Jehovah") is the name of two men in the Davidic-era records of Chronicles. (1.) A chief of the tribe of Benjamin (1 Chr. 8:20), listed among the sons of Shimhi. (2.) One of the captains of Manasseh who defected to David at Ziklag before the battle with the Philistines at Jezreel (1 Chr. 12:20); these Manassite officers brought military strength to David's cause at a critical moment.
